What is an Icery?

Simple. Instead of typical ice cream or Italian ice, Carousel’s Soft-Serve Icery swirls up a family-secret recipe of fruity, frozen ice with a creamy texture and a condensed tidal wave of flavor, without the dairy, fat, and calories of other frozen treats. But, the real magic in Carousel’s is the people – the ones who work with us and in the community around us. We blend it all together. Happiness. Charity. Honesty. Togetherness. Love. And the result is so yummy, you’re sure to come back around. And around. And around.

OUR HISTORY, LIKE OUR PRODUCT – IS UNIQUE.

Born on the beaches of New Jersey, etched in the history of The Boardwalk. Like the very first attraction built on the boardwalk – a carousel. Simple. Enchanting. An experience of color, happiness, and togetherness.
This place is where we come from too. Our family recipe, blended and served from a countertop along The Boardwalk, more than 20 years ago. Today, that’s still our recipe. And the result is so yummy, you’re sure to come back around. And around. And around.

We partner with schools, businesses and other organizations bringing the ultimate product and experience to your location once a month.

WE PROVIDE THE ENGINE (PUN INTENDED) THAT MAKES YOUR FUNDRAISER RUN SMOOTHLY. WE’LL HANDLE ALL THE LOGISTICS AND PROVIDE AN EASY WAY TO SIGN UP ONLINE. IF THE WEATHER DOES NOT COOPERATE, WE WILL MAKE SURE WE ARE STAFFED TO PRODUCE AND DELIVER THE PRODUCT INDOORS.

SCHOOLS

$5/Person/Month ($50 for the ENTIRE YEAR!)
This is a simple low-cost way to treat your child and help your community all year long.

BUSINESSES

Minimum of 1 hour at $300 (one visit per month)

Get to know our newest Franchise Owners, Megan & Lance Overson, and hear WHY they chose to live their dream!

Launching March 2021, Megan recalls the first time trying Carousels Icery, “ I couldn’t get it out of my head….the quality of the product literally removed all my fears of starting our own business”. Megan and Lance Overson are thrilled to offer something new, fun, and delicious. “I think Omaha is going to love it; it’s an experience!”

What are your names? Megan and Lance Overson

Do you have children? Son – Nick 10 years old

Do you have any pets? Lots! Currently 3, cats, 3 dogs, and 8 chickens

Where did you grow up? Megan is originally from Nebraska but grew up in Arkansas. Lance is born and raised in Minnesota, but Megan talked him into moving to Nebraska

What is your favorite Carousel’s flavor? Megan – Cherry/Lemon combo, Lance – Mango

What are your hobbies? We’re busy with Nick’s baseball, basketball and football schedule but in between all that we love traveling, fishing, camping, hunting, and working in our yard/garden.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Lance probably always wanted to be an accountant… I wanted to be a veterinarian or own an ice cream shop. In my teens I wanted to be a social worker or own an ice cream shop. At 40 I finally did it!

What do you love to do? Adventure, Sports, Reality TV, and Serving others…even if it’s just being the greeter at work. Being helpful and welcoming in the smallest way possible is sometimes the biggest impression.

What is your favorite childhood memory? Spending summers with my cousins at my grandparents’ house!

What is your favorite place? home 🙂

What is your favorite foods? chips & salsa, fried fish, carousels?

Who has inspired you most (a Hero)? My uncle. He’s a hard worker, has a servant’s heart and he’s the epitome of a family man. He followed his dreams professionally, raised 2 amazing kids, and has had a huge impact on youth in his community.

What accomplishment in life are you most proud of? I’m most proud of following my own dreams despite others thinking I should follow a different path and my son, Nick. He’s my favorite human being and the absolute joy of my life!
