A Day in the Life of a Carousel’s Event Host

It’s 8:00 AM on a sunny Saturday, and I’m already on my second iced coffee. Today’s the big day—our annual summer fundraiser is finally here. This year, we decided to add something special to bring a little more joy to the occasion: Carousel’s Icery.
I booked them about three weeks ago after seeing their colorful setup at a neighboring school’s field day. All I could remember was how many people were smiling—kids, parents, even school staff—all holding bright-colored ices. I thought, “Yes. That’s what we need.”

10:00 AM – Setup Starts
I pull into the event field just as Carousel’s arrives, right on schedule. Their setup is effortless—the truck pulls in and immediately brightens the space with its vibrant colors and cheerful vibe. People are raving about the flavors: Cherry, Mango, Blue Raspberry, Cotton Candy… and everyone’s asking what a Gelati is. (Spoiler: it’s heaven—half ice, half vanilla soft serve.) A few parents come up to me, shocked that our ice is dairy-free, gluten-free, and nut-free. “It’s such a relief—my child with food allergies can finally have a treat like everyone else,” one mom tells me, beaming with excitement.

12:30 PM – The Line Never Stops
We’ve got a steady flow of people, and more than one social media post tagging our event with pictures of those bright ices. Someone jokingly says they’ll be coming back next year just for the Carousel’s truck… and honestly, they might be right.

Carousel’s team handles everything like pros. They keep things moving, chat with guests, and even help a few kids pick their flavor based on their favorite color. There’s zero stress on my end. I’m enjoying myself, and I’m not sweating the logistics.

2:00 PM – Fundraiser Win!
We wrapped up the day with over 400 ices served and a huge boost in donations, thanks to Carousel’s incredible fundraising model, with up to 100% of profits going directly to our cause. Their team didn’t just serve treats; they helped spread the word and rally support throughout the event. By the end of the day, they felt like part of our community. I must’ve been asked a dozen times where we found them—and yes, I lost count of how many times I shared their booking info.

4:00 PM – Sweet Success
As they packed up, I realized something: this fundraiser felt more like fun than work. Carousel’s made it feel like a summer carnival, even though we were just in a school parking lot with tents. It didn’t just raise money—it brought our community together in the coolest way.
